Why Choose SPU Physical Therapy?

Individualized Approach

Quality of Care

SPU Therapy is passionate about providing progressive, movement based, individualized care to each and every patient. Our only goal is to serve our patients the best we can; we take the time to develop a comprehensive, complete plan for recovery to all.
All of our treatments are performed by a board-certified Physical Therapist- not Aides or Athletic Trainers. At SPU, you can ensure you're receiving quality care under a staff with 40+ years in the field each step of the way.

Reduced Risk of Injury

As much as we'd like to see you...

Paired with the physical aspect of SPU Physical Therapy, we provide educational resources on healthy lifestyle habits such as sleep and nutrition to put you in the best position to reduce risk of injury and maintain optimal health.
It really is our goal not to. We develop rehabilitation plans with the intentions of getting athletes back to full strength in an effective and efficient manner. The less we see you, the better we've done our job.

Ankle/Foot Injuries

The foot and ankle are essential in daily functions for most everyone- especially athletes. Without them at full health, athletes experience trouble with stability, balance, and explosiveness. Common injuries to the ankle and foot include sprains, fractures, Achilles ruptures, and Plantar Fasciitis

Hip Injuries

The structure of the hip region is built to support our body weight in both static and dynamic postures. The ball and socket joints allow us to assume athletic positions effortlessly and in fractions of a second. Most common athletic injuries include hip flexor strains, groin strains, and sports hernias.

Shoulder Injuries

The joint with the widest range of motion in the body, the shoulder is vital to actions like throwing, running, swimming, lifting, punching- the list goes on. Athletic injuries most common to the shoulder area include tears of the rotator cuff and labrum, AC joint sprains, and tendonitis.

Back Injuries

We mean it when we say- "We've got your back." As the structure most critical in posture and stability, muscles and soft tissue around the back aid in actions like bending and twisting. Muscle strains, ruptured discs, and sciatica are all common injuries related to the back.
